The authors focus on literature works related to the use of ITC for the characterization of CD–guest interactions, they try to help the reader to analyse the thermodynamic parameters of these interactions and they give some relevant examples about how to understand the mechanism of molecular interaction between the guests and the CDs by combining ITC experiments with other physicochemical characterization methods.
