Ulrike Knies-Bamforth, Editor Drug Discovery Today

Ulrike Knies-BamforthIn this issue of E-Choice, like last year in December, I would like to thank all the Guest Editors who have contributed to our e-alert for their contributions. In 2007, E-Choice grew in popularity – not only in the number of recipients who requested to receive it (now 30.000) but also more people than ever downloaded the free reviews. Like last year in December, I would like to focus on our journal, Drug Discovery Today. For your interest, I have selected this year’s most popular review from each journal section (Gene-to-Screen, Informatics, Post-screen) published in 2007. The "Abstracts of Key Research Articles" contain primary research papers with new findings in the respective fields and other related material to supplement these reviews.

As usual, there are some news. In 2008, we are planning to transform our journal homepage (www.drugdiscoverytoday.com) into a multi media drug discovery portal. We plan to increase the content on the website by featuring conference reports, book reviews and podcasts. With this, we are hoping to make browsing our web site more informative and attractive.

I wish you all a happy and successful year 2008 and hope that you keep enjoying E-Choice.

Enjoy the read!
Ulrike
