Business was booming in the vibrant Exhibition Hall with a record number of leads being taken by vendors.

It is with mixed feelings we say goodbye to our two long serving Conference Directors, both Adrian Kinkaid and Steve Rees have produced the Drug Discovery show from its inception 6 years ago. They hand over the reins to Del Tresize and Peter Simpson who are looking forward to producing a great show in 2013.
ELRIG’s version of ‘Dragons Den’ was received favourably with four companies facing the Dragons who didn’t hold back with their critique. At the end of the evening the winning company who had the vote of all the Dragons, was Essen BioSciences. Well done to them, they walked off with the fake Million Pound Deal.
Our Technology Prize was given to Venomtech one of our Innovation Zone exhibitors voted for by the delegates for their new Extract Library. Steve Trim accepted the prize, presented by the ELRIG Chairman, Terry Wood.
The SLAS Young Scientist Poster Prize was given to Aurore Lejeune, CRUK for her poster and she will receive free trip to the SLAS show in Florida 2013 to present her poster. Aurore will participate in a Student Poster Competition at the 2nd Annual SLAS Conference and Exhibition, January 12-16, 2013 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, USA. Presented by Mary Geismann, SLAS.
The Feedback Survey Prize of a ‘Kindle WiFi eBook Reader’ was won by Chizuko Koseki, Prism Biolab, Japan. Presented by Adrian Kinkaid, DD Conference Director.
Next ELRIG show is ‘Pharmaceutical Flow Cytometry & Imaging’ being held at AstraZeneca, Alderley Park, Cheshire on 10th & 11th October. This is set to be a fantastic show.
