BioCity-based, Sygnature Discovery is marking its tenth year in business this October with a symposium to celebrate world-class science.

Sygnature Discovery is the UK’s largest independent provider of integrated drug discovery with core capabilities including medicinal chemistry, in vitro bioscience, computational chemistry and informatics and works with clients in the UK, Europe and the USA.

Situated in the Science City of Nottingham Sygnature Discovery has grown to one of the largest companies of its type in the region.

Commenting, Simon Hirst, CEO said, “The company has experienced significant growth over the past ten years and we have plans for further growth, including entering new global markets. This growth is partly attributed to our primary focus of value creation for our clients, through the application of drug discovery expertise and close working relationships. Our team is made up of pharmaceutical industry-experienced scientists who have the ability to collaborate on an equal footing with our clients’ scientists and contribute drug discovery know-how and intellectual input into collaborations.

“The symposium will mark our tenth anniversary by bringing together distinguished scientific speakers to discuss challenges, advances and developments in modern drug discovery to an audience of clients, contacts and friends that have helped shape Sygnature Discovery into the business it is today.”

Speakers include, Dr Julian Golec from Vertex Pharmaceuticals; Dr Jonathon Rachman from MapMyHealth; Dr David Leahy from Molplex Pharmaceuticals; Dr Paul Leeson a consultant at GlaxoSmithKlein; Dr Rana Lonnen from Axendos Therapeutics; Professor Simon Ward from the University of Sussex and; Professor Herbie Newell from Northern Institute for Cancer Research.

The one-day symposium will be taking place on Tuesday 7th October at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.
