4th PEPTIDES EVENT

06 July 2017 - 07 July 2017

SMi’s 4th annual Peptides conference will take place on 6 & 7 July 2017 in London. Peptide manufacturers and suppliers have been developing and implementing new technologies to improve the peptide production, reduce manufacturing costs, and allow for more accurate formulations to enhance overall drug delivery. In addition, as cancer has been the most prominent sector in peptide therapeutics and is further expected to stay at the top, the market has been largely driven by the increased demand for peptides in cancer treatment. The increase in collaborations between biotech companies has also contributed to the market growing at this rate. The conference will provide a platform for attendees to gather valuable new insight on assessing biophysical characterization, extending half-life, new formulations and routes of administration, and other pressing matters in the peptides industry. Thus this year’s conference will include presentations from key industry professionals who will discuss and deliberate themes including peptide formulation and delivery, as well as new advances in alternative peptide analysis technologies, Cell Penetrating Peptides, enhancements in synthesis mechanisms, analytical monitoring techniques, and more. New speakers include UCB, Nestle Skin Health, Boehringer Ingelheim, Pfizer, Ferring, Sanofi, Novartis, BMS, Ipsen and more. Anti-Infectives Partnering & Deal-Making

13 July 2017 - 14 July 2017

We are excited to announce the 14th Anti-Infectives Partnering & Deal-Making Conference, which will take place July 13-14, 2017 in Baltimore, MD. Recently launched programs such as CARB-X and the expanded pool of research and development funds brought about by the U.S. National Action Plans on Combating Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria (CARB) demonstrate recognition that the anti-infective pipeline is precariously fragile. These complimentary programs, as well as other international programs, seek to address funding and market limitations that occur at all phases of drug development, from early stage, hit to lead identification, to late stage clinical development. However, despite the technical and monetary resources available to developers the challenges and risks inherent in anti-infective development loom unabated. We invite you to join us for this two day event as we discuss the types and availability of economic incentives to spur innovation and development of therapies to address rapidly emerging global health threats; international partnering and funding opportunities; and non-traditional approaches and technologies, including innovative clinical trial strategies for the development of anti-infectives. Over the course of this meeting attendees will have ample opportunity to engage and network with speaker and panelists.
